Running for office is a marathon that tests resilience, but the very fact that I am standing up to represent my community is a powerful act of hope in itself. I am ensuring that these topics cannot be ignored, which is a victory for the public discourse regardless of the day-to-day fluctuations of a campaign.
Roots of Resilience
I think back to why I stepped into this arena. Often, candidates come from a background of problem-solving—whether it’s through legal work, education, or community advocacy. I have already spent years developing the skills to navigate complex systems and advocate for others. This candidacy is simply a new, larger platform for those same values.
